Happy Birthday, Drew!

We celebrated Drew's first birthday on April 23. Suddenly he seems to be growing up so much! We had two baseball birthday cakes -- one for him to destroy and one for the rest of us. Our family came over with all the cousins (all boys!) to watch Drew open his presents and eat cake and ice cream. Everyone brought him wonderful presents: bath toys, new clothes, new books and even a baseball teddy bear. He also got a small pool I hope we can break out soon. Happy Birthday Drew!

Vegas, baby!

Drew and I spent the week in Las Vegas, helping Erin and Dave with little Shaylor, who is adorable! We put Drew in the front-facing car seat for the trip. I think he likes looking out the window, and I like being able to see him easily. But drinking a bottle in the car is a challenge, so I put some stuffed animals back there to help him and it worked great. Sleepy Drew...

Life at our house...

i'm excited to have a way to share all of this with you, so here's something fun. we just finished dinner, and drew seems to find a way to make us laugh almost every minute of the day. he's bursting with personality, and he's looking so grown up! he's walking like crazy and just cut another top tooth today with another breaking through any minute -- and he's only been fussy for one day with all these teeth coming in. he's too full of life to stop for teeth! he's learned to give "the cheeser," so here's some cheese for you!

Baby Sorensen

Our friends Erin and Dave had their baby (by C-section) on April 4! We couldn't be more excited for Shaylor Ian Sorensen to make his mortal debut. He's gonna be linebacker for the Eagles -- a healthy 9 lb, 11 oz and 21 inches long! And although you can't see it here, he has handsome brown hair, and a lot of it!

Happy Easter?

Easter was interesting. Drew got a few items in his baseball basket Sunday morning, and then he went on an egg hunt with his cousins after church at Jay and Mel's. However, Drew also got a second-degree burn; we're guessing he grabbed something on the grill while we were making dinner. It's healing really well, but he was in pain that whole evening. We still had a great time with our family!

Merry Christmas!

We spent Drew's first Christmas in Cedar City. We all spent the night at my brother-in-law Mitch's house and had a big Christmas morning that was so much fun.

Happy Halloween!

For Drew's first Halloween, he was my pet bat (I was Hermione Granger from "Harry Potter").
