Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter! My parents came to town to see us and we had so much fun! We did all kinds of fun stuff -- which was especially nice for me to get out and do something after being sick for months. We went downtown and got some tasty barbecue, went to the zoo and fed some ducks. Then we watched conference on Saturday and Sunday and enjoyed hanging out.

Drew and Brent camped out on the floor Sunday morning after we did a few little Easter presents and an egg hunt. Drew thought that was pretty awesome.

For Easter, Drew got a new Super Why DVD, an egg with a little Elmo in it, and some sidewalk chalk. He adores Super Why -- I'm already sick of the DVD because we watch it all the time. But I'm so glad that's what he likes: He's learned so much -- letters and letter sounds, and he's even learning to spell!

On Saturday we went to Lake Hefner to feed the ducks; unfortunately, it was the first really nice weekend, so it was packed. Some kids got there before us; they didn't have bread so they threw rocks -- scared the ducks awake. So we didn't stay long, but got a few pictures with the beautiful water.

I love that face! I hope Brynlee looks like Drew. :) I can't get enough of that face...

Before my parents left on Monday, we tried to blow bubbles. It was a little too windy, but at least Drew was learning how to blow bubbles. Thanks for coming out to see us -- we had a blast! We miss you so much!

It's a...

I had my ultrasound today, and as hard as it is to believe given our track record in our family, we're expecting a girl! We're very excited! Now we have one of each! This will be the third granddaughter on Brent's side, and the third great-granddaughter on my side (the boys are too numerous to count, hehe). :) And yes, I celebrated by buying an adorable little outfit for our new sweet pea.
I've actually been feeling better the last couple of days, which is a huge blessing because my parents flew out to see us for Easter weekend. I'm so glad to have them around. It was awesome that my mom got to come to the ultrasound with me and my dad generously watched the boy while we were gone. I'm hoping this is a sign of better days ahead. I still have to eat like every two hours, but if that keeps the morning sickness at bay, bring on the schedule.
Yeah! A girl!
